The San Antonio Rabbit Breeders Association is one of the oldest rabbit breeder clubs in Texas. We hold biannual double open and youth shows at the Guadalupe Fairgrounds in Seguin. As a charter club of both the Texas RBA and American RBA, we strive to help rabbit breeders improve their breeds and receive recognition for their hard work and dedication.
Our objectives:
To promote, encourage, and develop the rabbit industry for meat, fur, and various other markets; to afford membership to persons interested in raising, marketing and/or showing rabbits, and the products thereof.
To provide information and disseminate data to members, also maintain the breeding standards set forth by the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) for each particular breed and improve same when possible.
To protect the interests of the public by honest representation and fair dealings.
To assist breeders to make a success of their rabbitry, to encourage and educate prospective breeders and to assist members in the disposing of stock.
The club normally meets in a general membership on the third Monday of each month with the exception of December and the months in which our shows and banquet are held. The membership meetings are held at the Hermann Sons Community Center at 210 Bauman Street in Kirby, Texas at 7:30 p.m.
****The club has elected not to meet in the months of July and August 2010. Business may be brought before the club via email. *****
